Lisa Henry, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs in the College of Architecture and Planning, will assume the role of Interim Chair of the MDD Division, in addition to her current position as Associate Dean. Lisa’s appointment follows thorough consultations with faculty and staff, focusing on the Division’s key priorities and identifying the optimal direction for the program’s growth.

Since arriving at the U in 2001, Lisa has served as associate chair of the School of Architecture (2015–19), chair of the School of Architecture (2019–21), and associate dean of academic affairs (2023–present). Lisa brings a combination of knowledge and perspective to lead MDD through the coming transition. Her immediate goals will focus on supporting MDD students in their academic journey by identifying resources and curricular pathways, engaging in strategic visioning processes, and collaborating on hiring with the college and MDD faculty.
