Program Overview

The undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Multi-Disciplinary Design explores product design in three categories: physical, digital, and platform. The program encompasses a curriculum with four substantive areas applicable to product design education: Studio, Technical, History/Theory, and Practice. This program engages students to compete in an ever increasingly complex work environment with a thorough understanding of ethical conduct and social responsibility through these specific concepts.

Degree Requirements

  • 122 credits in total, a minimum 75 credits in the program
  • All pre-major and major courses must be completed with a C- or better
    • 12 credits of design foundations courses (introductory courses)
    • 36 credits of design studio courses (sophomore through senior level)
    • 12 credits of design core (sophomore level)
    • 9 credits of design track courses, elected from 'digital' or 'physical' product track options
    • 6 credits of design electives
  • General Education and Bachelor degree course requirements
  • Students must complete an approved internship to graduate
